Writing Prompt #119

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Hello fellow writers and members of Atlanta Writes!

We’re kicking off this year with a new theme for prompts. We’re going with memories, memoirs, and personal essays.

To help you write what you know, our friends over at @Storymatic sent us a new deck of cards called Rememory. How this works is, we will pull three cards from the Rememory deck to lead you into a memory.

About the cards:

  • Slate cards indicate whose life you’re thinking about.
  • Coffee cards indicate the season of life you’re writing about. You can interpret this literally or metaphorically.
  • Ruby cards set the context, theme or stage for the memory.

Okay, so let’s get into it!

This memory happens in the summer, it involves your life, and a place where people gather in silence.

What can you remember?

P.S. Hang on to your writing when you’re done. Polish it up as best you can. We’ve got plans for these prompts down the line. #NoSpoilers
